Mrs Nicholas, my teacher, gave me a branch of plant

when I visited her house to have lunch on June.

I put it into very tiny vase, meanwhile I just pour water every 3 days.

Please look at it !!!
 I found the flowers bloom today!

How beautiful white flowers these are!!!

A Japanese astronaut departed for ISS

Mr. Akihiko Hoshide, Japanese astronaut started by "Soyuz" to the space

on July 14th, 2012  from Kazakhstan,

and arrived at International Space Station (ISS) after 2days trip.

My husband and I could witness it at NASA !!!

He stays there for 6 months.

"the Arts of Japan Gallery" in MFAH

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) opened

the Arts of Japan Gallery on Feb.17, 2012.

Important Art Objects are on display

covering crucial themes and traditions in Japanese art and culture.

In addition to this permanent exhibition,

"the Kimiko and John Powers Collection of Japapnese Art"  has been held

until September 23, 2012.

There are many ink paintings in 17th and 18th cencury at the Collection,

and you will feel the movement of ink paintings in this periods.

Japanese movies was somtimes shown at Law Building, Lower Level.

I came back to Houston at the last day in May.

I was in Japan for one mounth.

When I took a bus to Narita Airport,

I saw the highest tower in Japan named "Tokyo Skytree", which was opened this May.

My friend went up to "Tokyo Skytree",

though it was very difficult to get tickets for a while, and sent me pictures.

I show you pictures, gorgeous view and souvenir cookies designed for "Tokyo Skytree".



I could refresh myself in Japan and had a good time with my family,

especialy with my parents.

We spent together for one week at my father's cottage in Nagano prefecture.

My favorite noodle

This is my favorite noodle in Vietnam restaurant in belaire.

"Noodle with chicken and pork and put some shrimps on top."

I like soup on the side.

I put a lot of fresh vegetables in hot soup and have it.

Bon appetit !!!

After lunch I met Poo and Kitty.

They are so cute, aren't they?



The History of American Airlines

We visited American Airlines "C.R.Smith Museum",

where we can know the history of American Airlines, and see a real plane.

That was very interesting place for me because I like airplanes.



Baseball ”Yu～～”

Yu Dalvish offered a baseball ball signed his autograph

at the auction in Ameican Japanese association of Dallas.

The winner was the person who wrote down $800 on the paper.

His teammates, Mr. Uehara and Mr.Tateyama also offered those.

They have also contributed to Dallas and Texas
in the point of economy as well as Dalvish.



OPERA

How gorgeous night it was !!!

I went to OPERA "Don carlos".
It was lucky I could get my seat very near from the stage.

As my friend is a member of Houston Grand Opera Chorus, 

 I could look her playing as poor widow on the middle of the stage.

NATS Classical Audetions 2012

National Association of Teachers of Singing Classical Audition 2012

was held on the April 14th
at University of Houston.

As My friend resisterd it,

I could have a good opportunity to listen to

a lot of beautiful songs

Bureau of Engraving and Printing

We visited Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Dallas.

We took a free Tour in the Building.

As it is prohibited to take pictures inside,

 I can not show how intereting place it is.

 I recommend you to visit there if you have a interest in it.

The celbration the victory of the match!

We celebrated the victory after the baseball game.

We had a dericous crabs with corns and potatos, AND perfect drinks!!!

was registered as a member of Dallas Rangers this year.

He came out the match vs Seattle Mariners on April 9th 2012 and he did a good job.

Texas Rangers won the game 11-5 at that night!

All fans in the baseball ground celebrated it saying "Yu～～～！！！”

We went to Appleton Estate by bus on a narrow road in Jungle.

It took about 2 hours to get there.

It was a fun drive!

That is the oldest Rum Factory in Jamaica.

Rum is made from sugar canes, so we could also see tha plantation of sugar canes beside the factory.
